Gagnier Construction served as the prime contractor for this negotiated, design build contract. The existing 37-year-old, concrete tilt-up building had some office space and a small warehouse. Gagnier removed the complete interior of the building, built a structural mezzanine second floor using lightweight concrete.

Twelve windows were added to the existing concrete panels, which required the design and engineering of structural steel "strongbacks" for added panel support.

Seventeen new HVAC units ranging from 3 to 7 1/2 tons were installed on the new panelized roof and a structural exterior deck was added to the rear of the building to house the Air Handler, Chiller, Vacuum System, Air Compressor and Cooling Tower Caps.

A special Hepa Filter Room was designed to maintain a constant temperature within one degrees of setting. The electrical switchgear was removed from the interior and placed outside of the building with a 2000 AMP, 480 Volt, 3-Phase system.

Statek's office and production areas were increased by 60,000 SF.
